All of us have dreams and goals that God has placed in our hearts. But often we sit back and watch life pass us by. Maybe God has given you the dream to teach a Bible study, play a musical instrument, or to own a business of your own.
Last year I was challenged by Megan Elizabeth at LifeAboveRubies to take the 30-day Challenge. You can learn more about it here. When I did this challenge and got more focused on what God was calling me to do in that season, I saw HUGE changes in my life.
Each day you read a chapter in Proverbs, list 3 things you are thankful for, set 3 goals for the day, and 3 BIG goals. Then Megan adds in other challenges along the way to help you become more purpose-driven and
focused. Doing this helped me to become less scattered and more intentional which led to so many big things.
In setting goals, I launched Sunshiny Thoughts – website, wrote “How To Stop Believing the Lies of the Enemy”, A Self Care Journal, and then created the Sunshiny Thoughts podcast. (Not all in that order)
Before that, I was scattered and just wrote things on paper. I was able to generate ideas and knew that I had dreams. But, I didn’t really go after the dreams that God had placed in my heart.
In Proverbs 4, it talks about Look straight ahead and FIX your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet. Stay on the safe path. Don’t get sidetracked keep your feet from following evil.
If we look at that verse it says to LOOK straight ahead, Fix your eyes on what lies before you. First I believe that as a Christian we need to fix our eyes on Jesus. So what lies before me is my eyes on the Lord. As moms we need to seek the Lord daily for what His goals, dreams, and plans are for our family. Then we need to mark out a straight path. How do we do this? We set goals. The best way to set goals is to write them down. Click To Tweet

Then we need to stay on the safe path. Don’t get sidetracked. I tend to get sidetracked. I’m like DOG from the movie UP. I see Squirrel and I’m off in another direction. That is not what the Lord wants for our lives. But He wants us to live our life with purpose.
I believe when we are grateful, get focused, and seek the Lord for what He has for our lives, he will reveal to us what He wants to do.
I challenge you to take the 30 day challenge with me. If you do, leave me a comment, I’d love to watch as you reach the dreams and goals that God has for your life. #dreambig
